Most Anticipated Wii Games

Great recap over at BusinessWeek on the hottest upcoming game releases. The article features 25 games with a good mix of franchise titles and spanking new ones. If you check out Amazon.com you can see most of the games on the list already have a top 50 sales rank with release dates months and months away.

I’m looking forward to the following:

The Simpsons (Electronic Arts, October 31)
I have enjoyed every Simpsons video game that has been released from Bart vs. The Space Mutants to Hit And Run. The most recent had so much to explore and great replay value. Can’t wait to see what they cook up this time around.

Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo, November 12)
Any addition to the Super Mario franchise will get my attention. The early screenshots of Galaxy looks amazing from the Bumblebee Costume to the large amount of stages (planets ?) to explore. I’m expecting big things from this game.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo, December 3)
One of the best games to play with friends and it’s great that every time you play you get a different experience depending on your competition. Nintendo is building up great buzz around this game with the Smash Bros. Official Site. Can’t wait to see Ike take on Link.

Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground (Activision, October 10)
I’m a big skateboarding fan so I’ll take any game where I can pretend to be Bucky Lasek or Bob Burnquist. I wonder what challenges they’ll come up with this time around although I don’t mind their staples like collecting C-O-M-B-O or S-K-A-T-E.
