A lot of newbies in Tony Hawk’s new release, Proving Ground, including two very young phenoms, Ryan Sheckler and Nyjah Huston. My boy Bucky Lasek didn’t make the cut, but there’s a bunch of other veteran skaters in the mix. If you want to get to know the skaters a little better and claim your favorite, check out the videos below of the first ten, and check back tomorrow for the remaining six.
Tony Hawk
This man needs no introduction. If you don’t know who Tony Hawk is, you may need professional help, or a trip to Wikipedia.
Ryan Sheckler
He likes to pull off tricks with tons of speed grabbing tons of amplitude.
Bob Burnquist
A technical skater that transitions into his tricks so easily. He also pulls out switch whenever he can.
Jeff King
He’ll give you something to skate out of junk. He onced turned an aiport hanger into a full scale skatepark.
Nyjah Huston
This 12 year old pro stands at 5 feet but don’t be fooled by his size, he’s got an arsenal of tricks he likes to throw down over huge sets of stairs.
Bam Margera
A non-competitive skater with a unique street style. Oh yeah, he’s on TV too.
Stevie Williams
A street skater from Philly who skates goofy and is known for lots of pop on all his tricks.
Andrew Reynolds
Likes to go big all the time, known for pulling flip tricks over massive gaps.
Mike Vallely
Part skater, part punk rocker. Vallely loves to mix old school tricks with new ones.
Vanessa Torres
She won the first ever gold medal at the X Games in the Women’s Park comp showing off her clean, consistent style.
