Wii Fit Plus E3 Trailer [E3 2009]

Wii Fit Plus will hit stores this fall and will be bundled with the Wii Fit and sold separately if you already own the balance board. The game features “15 new balance games and six new strength training and yoga activities” plus more customization features than the 1st version. Users will now be able to create their own exercise routines, specifiy how much time they want to spend on a particular exercise, and receive activity recommendations from Wii Fit. There’s nothing in the press release that mentions customizing music, I’ll be a little disappointed if that isn’t included. The Wii Fit music gets boring after awhile plus people have their own exercising style which may include a certain type of music to workout to. With that said, players should be able to upload their own MP3s from SD cards.

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box DS Trailer [E3 2009]

New Professor Layton game with “more than 150 new brain teasers, riddles and logic puzzles to challenge” PLUS downloadable bonus puzzles each week for 33 weeks after the game release.

No other game has given my brain more of a workout than Professor Layton and the Curious Village (sorry Brain Age), so I will be first in line to get the sequel.

Wii Sports Resort E3 Trailer [E3 2009]

I’m still baffled as to why Nintendo is releasing Wii Sports Resort AFTER Wii MotionPlus is released and not along with the other Wii MotionPlus bundle (Tiger Woods 10). Doesn’t this deserve a big launch? Oh well.

I can’t wait to play - don’t get me wrong I love bowling and playing tennis, but I’m looking forward to seeing how Frisbee and the water sports translate on the Wii. I’m surprised that Nintendo did not include in balance board compatibility.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story Trailer [E3 2009]

New RPG featuring two playable storylines. Play as Bowser and try to defeat a villian from taking over his castle or as Mario and Luigi INSIDE of Bowser and defeat challenges to control Bowser and help him defeat enemies on the outside. In the trailer below you’ll see how the dual screens help you see what’s going in both parts of the story. I’m not super excited about it, I think I was expecting a platformer for the DS, but Nintendo also announced Super Mario Galaxy 2 so that makes up for it somewhat.

Nyko’s New Wii and DSi Game Accesories [E3 2009]

Nyko, the maker of countless gaming peripherals - some you need and some that are a waste of money - have released details and pics of their latest DS and Wii accessories. I can see the Type Pad being useful, especially if you have tons of Animal Crossing friends that you meet up with (chatting using the remote is laborious). I’m not sold on the Zoom Case and lens. It looks bulky and awkward. I also have a digital camera with much better specs.

Type Pad Pro for Wii

The ergonomic wireless keypad for Wii features Nyko’s Trans-Port Technology allowing players to control, type, and browse with ease. Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure Cover Art [E3 2009]

Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure arrives in stores this Fall the same day as the DVD release.
It looks like this might have some great community and online features, the Disney game will allow gamers to connect their DS fairy experience with Pixie Hollow, Disney’s fairy virtual world.

Game features include:

* The ability to upload their customized fairy onto pixiehollow.com and unlock a special fairy quest.

* Exclusive online community that connects DS gamers with one another

* Players can transfer items gathered on pixiehollow.com onto their DS which allows them to receive the latest fairy news and updates on their DS.
